Sanath Muliya

Project Scientist Dept. of Population Management, Capture and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Institute of India

Dr Muliya took his veterinary bachelor’s degree in 2011 and his Master’s in Wildlife Medicine in 2013, both from the Karnataka Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, Bidar. He has since worked in a number of roles both clinical and teaching at the CUPA Animal Care Hospital, the Institute of Wildlife Veterinary Research, Wildlife SOS and the Bannerghatta Biological Park – all in Bangalore, India, from 2011 until 2015.

From January 2015 until the present day Dr Muliya has been project veterinarian at the Wildlife Institute of India in Uttarakhand as part of a project entitled “Strengthening Veterinary Interventions in Tiger Reserves”.
